The Student Technology and Resource Support (STaRS) Program at Washington University provides career opportunities for our undergraduate students through practical business and information technology learning experiences. Some additional program priorities are: - Provide a more proficient workforce for Saint Louis businesses and the broader community.
- Provide valuable IT services to Washington University and the Saint Louis community.
- Improve technology knowledge for the general Washington University community.
The STaRS Program at Washington University is a self-sustaining non-profit program based completely on income obtained from our IT services and our Student Internship Contracts. STaRS Members STaRS Program Members are all full-time undergraduate Washington University students. Program members are selected from a pool of applicants based on their ability to communicate clearly, their desire to learn, and their interest in technology. The STaRS Program is designed as a supplement to our members' full-time education at Washington University in St. Louis. If you are a STaRS member, visit STaRS Central for your timekeeping. Professional Development Member training is provided by our Professional Development training program which includes an estensive summer training program, and a semester mentoring program. STaRS members must complete all summer training and any semester training in order to remain employed in good standing.
